Do you enjoy sharing your historic trade skills and your love for knowledge of it with the community? We invite you to engage with Hugh Torance House & Store event guests and visitors at our living history museum throughout the year!

Dressed in historically accurate period attire, you'll engage our event guests and visitors through storytelling, hands-on demonstrations of traditional skills—like blacksmithing, cooking, or textile production—and interpreting daily life from the early years of Charlotte's founding. Beyond just public interaction, volunteering as an historic trade demonstrator enhances our educational nonprofit programming by helping maintain our historic sites' authenticity!
