Upon arrival, check in at the Volunteer Registration Table where you will be assigned your tasks.

Truck Loaders will load all leftover food and drinks into a refrigerated truck. You will also load all equipment into a truck. This task requires you to lift heavy items.  

Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes. Gloves will be provided. You do not need to register as a guest; signing up to volunteer guarantees you a ticket. We will make arrangements to allow you to eat.

Upon arrival, check in at the Volunteer Registration Table where you will be assigned your tasks.

Table Hosts will meet with Table Leaders for training about the theme, “The Power of We.” You will be assigned to a dining table, where you will be responsible for engaging community members in a conversation about the theme. There will be Table Host supplies on the table, including name tags and sharpies for guests to utilize, some conversation 'ice breakers' will be provided so you can keep the conversation going!

NOTE:  we are planning for 64 Table Hosts, which is one for each table; however, if we don't fill up every table with guests, you may join another table and team up with another Table Host.  

MINIMUM AGE FOR THIS ROLE IS 18 YEARS OF AGE.

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You do not need to register as a guest; signing up to volunteer guarantees you a ticket. You will eat with the guests at your table.

Side Prep/Food Transport volunteers will proceed to the MHS cafeteria after check-in. You may create kits of utensils, plates, etc. to go out to the dining tables. You will also bring all the prepared food from the kitchen out to the warmers and the tables at the staging area near the dining tables. Other duties as needed.

Kitchen Cleanup volunteers will check in at Volunteer Registration, then report to the MHS cafeteria. You will assist in cleaning up the kitchen. You will help pack up leftovers that were not served and prepare them for transport as directed.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes. Aprons and gloves will be provided. You do not need to register as a guest; signing up to volunteer guarantees you a ticket.  Please join the program and eat with the guests at 1:00 PM and when done, report back to the kitchen to finish up any extra tasks.

Guest Registration volunteers will be greeting and checking in guests. There will be guest registration tables set up at both ends of Blue Devil Blvd.  A team leader will assign you to one of these tables.  Ushers will then escort guests to the dining tables.

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You do not need to register as a guest; signing up to volunteer guarantees you a ticket. Once the Registration Leader releases you, you may join a table and enjoy the meal.

Food Servers will deliver food from the staging area to the dining tables.  All food servings will be 'family style' and already prepared in bowls and platters ready to serve.

Volunteers for Event Setup will help put out parking signs, put materials at the dining and guest registration tables, and prepare the event space for guests. You will also move beverages and ice bins from the refrigerated truck to the cooler stations near the dining tables. You will take trash cans to their designated locations. You will be expected to do some lifting.

Event Guides will greet and assist guests with finding their way from approved parking areas to the Guest Registration stations at either end of Blue Devil Boulevard. Guests with disabilities or ambulatory concerns may be dropped off at the south end of the school on Blue Devil Boulevard. The parking lot directly to the west of the school is designated as Accessible/Disabled Parking. There will be multiple signs indicating where people can park, and a map will also be provided to guests prior to the event.

Volunteers assisting with Event Cleanup will collect trash, remove materials from the dining tables, and take down signs. You will take the drink coolers and any leftover drinks back to the kitchen. Once trash bins are full, you will move them to the designated pickup area at the south end of Blue Devil Boulevard. You will not be responsible for breaking down tables and chairs; the event supply company will do that.

Ushers will escort guests from the Guest Registration tables to the dining tables. You will continue repeating this process until all guests are seated. Guests will be continuously arriving, and you will be escorting multiple guests.
