At Fifth Street Ministries, our mission is to provide nourishing meals, compassionate support, and a sense of community to those in need. Our Community Soup Kitchen is dedicated to serving healthy and delicious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our kitchen team as kitchen assistant volunteers. As a key part of our kitchen crew, you will help prepare meals that make a difference in our community by supporting the head cook and kitchen manager in helping mealtimes run smoothly.
Qualifications:
- No prior food preparation experience required, but a passion for helping others is essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs.
- A friendly, positive attitude and commitment to our mission of community service.
