PATH House could use some spring cleaning! After years of wear and tear and recent inclement weather, the building is ready for a good wash with some soap and water. We would be incredibly grateful for volunteers who are willing to help us spruce up the PATH House for the community that we minister to.

Fifth Street Ministries is seeking volunteers to help maintain and beautify our grounds. This hands-on opportunity is vital to keeping our property safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for staff, residents, and visitors.

Volunteers will assist with tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and general outdoor upkeep. The schedule is flexible and seasonal: volunteers are needed once a month during the colder months and every other week during the summer.

This ongoing volunteer role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, gardening, and taking pride in keeping spaces clean and attractive. Your help directly supports the ministry by creating a safe, inviting environment for everyone who comes through our doors.

We are in need of individuals and groups to help provide meals in our Mission Kitchen, which serves our residents and the surrounding community 365 days a year. Due to limited staff, we especially need groups who can commit to regularly providing a meal, as well as helping with preparation, serving, and cleanup. If you’re unable to provide a meal, you’re still welcome to volunteer alongside our team. Please note: Volunteers under 18 require a parent/guardian signature, and group leaders act as guardians once forms are on file. Be sure to indicate group participation during sign-up.

With the recent inclement weather, our PATH House (Street Outreach) location has experienced damage to its gutters, leaving them loose and in need of repair. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help secure the gutters so we can prevent any hazards or accidents at the PATH House.

As we continue making progress toward clearing out our donation center for its next phase, we could really use your help! If you have a truck and a dump sticker, this is a great opportunity to serve. We are looking for volunteers to help transport unusable or broken items and furniture from our donation center to the local dump. This opportunity is flexible, so you can choose a time that works best with your schedule. Your help will make a big difference as we work toward improving our space!

Fifth Street Ministries is seeking reliable volunteers to assist with food run pickups, an ongoing volunteer opportunity that helps keep our Community Kitchen operating smoothly. Volunteers will come to the shelter to pick up coolers, travel to designated food pickup locations, and return the food to our Community Kitchen. Volunteers are asked to commit to one recurring pickup day per week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday—to help keep our food supply consistent and allow volunteers to become experts on their route.

Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. This role involves lifting full coolers of food, so the ability to lift and transport them safely is required. Training will be provided for at least two food runs to ensure volunteers are comfortable with the routes and process before serving independently.

This is a great opportunity for individuals or pairs who want to serve our community in a practical, hands-on way and help provide consistent meals for those we serve.
