Volunteer: Educational Program Facilitators - Mental Health & Suicide Awareness Trainings

Responsibilities: As a volunteer facilitator, you’ll play a key role in bringing life-saving, evidence-based mental health and suicide prevention trainings to the community. Facilitators help deliver programs such as the Community Resiliency Model® (CRM), Mental Health First Aid, or QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer). You’ll work with the Be Well Iredell team to schedule trainings, lead or co-lead sessions, and engage participants in learning practical, skills-based tools to support their own well-being and that of others.

Ideal for: Individuals with strong communication skills, lived experience, or a background in education, mental health, public health, or community outreach. Training and materials are provided.

Time Commitment: Flexible, based on your availability and community training needs. Opportunities available throughout the year.

Responsibilities include assisting in organizing and promoting evidence-based trainings (such as Mental Health First Aid or CRM®), identifying community needs, and helping develop educational materials for schools, workplaces, and partner organizations. Your role will be vital in spreading awareness and equipping others with life-saving tools.

Time Commitment: Monthly Zoom meetings (1 hour), with one in-person meeting per quarter. Please let us know if you would like to become a program facilitator.

Responsibilities include volunteering at community events, participating in outreach campaigns, sharing resources, and helping to spread awareness through social media and community connections. Your energy and ideas will help foster a more supportive, stigma-free environment across Iredell County.

Time Commitment: Monthly Zoom meetings (1 hour), with one in-person meeting per quarter.

Your involvement will help ensure that no one feels lost or alone when seeking support.

Time Commitment: Monthly Zoom meetings (1 hour), with one in-person meeting per quarter.
