Volunteer: Drive cancer patients to and from treatmentYou can make a meaningful difference on your schedule by driving cancer patients who lack reliable transportation to their lifesaving treatment. As a Road To Recovery volunteer driver, you'll provide safe transportation so patients can keep their treatment schedules and focus on healing. Rides are typically Monday–Friday during the day. Volunteers are encouraged to drive the patient to and from the appointment, but rides are listed as one-way segments. Play an important role in helping to make fighting cancer a top priority with federal, state, and local elected officials. Help increase funding for cancer research, prevention, and screening programs, pass laws to reduce the burden of tobacco, or build programs to address health disparities and improve the quality of life for those affected by cancer. Work in teams at the local level to build relationships with your elected officials and share your story. Our highly organized volunteer program gives you access to trainings, tools and resources to amplify your voice and your impact.
