Soup Kitchen: Dinner Volunteers

Expired

Description

Fifth Street Ministries is seeking dedicated volunteers to help with meals in our community soup kitchen. Our soup kitchen serves 3 meals a day, 7 days a week to anyone in our community -- not just shelter residents.

By volunteering, you’ll be making a direct impact on the lives of those in need. We’re looking for compassionate individuals to assist with various tasks, including:

  • Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe environment for both our guests and volunteers.
  • Food Prep: Assist with preparing nutritious meals for the community.
  • Serving: Help distribute meals to those in need with kindness and respect.
  • Cafeteria Cleanup: Ensure the dining area is cleaned and ready for the next service.
  • Supporting the Lead Cook: Lend a hand with cooking, organizing supplies, and other tasks to ensure a smooth operation.

We ask that lunch volunteers arrive at 10:30am and dinner volunteers arrive at 5pm, and usually stay about an hour. Ideally a group of 2-3 volunteers is perfect for serving as the kitchen can be tight on space when it gets busy. This is a perfect opportunity for kids!

**PLEASE REMEMBER** that only the volunteers who are signed up will be allowed in the kitchen. ALL ages are welcome to volunteer with us, a guardian must accompany volunteers under 18.
